TRIZ stands for Theory of Inventive Problem Solving. The approach to problem solving is knowledge-based and rely on use of intelligence structuring of problem solving models derived from tested inventive principles and approaches. The architect of the system was Genrich Altshuller, who based his TRIZ development on inventive models and design principles that have been used by creative mind to patent new products and process solutions.

TRIZ AS TRADITIONALLY TAUGHT IS NEVER EASY TO MASTER. Traditional TRIZ instruction is undifferentiated in term of content teaching and good instructional explanation. Many learning TRIZ for the first time are often frustrated by the difficulty in comprehending the application of the technique itself.
